Full wireless operation is optimal when unit is fitted onto a trolley system, as there is no interference from a metal enclosure ( Eg - A Vehicle )
However, these units are suitable for Van systems also. When fitting into a van system, unit receiver is better positioned near a window or if door or window is open even slightly then this is great also allowing signal to run to the unit, and not around it. This is simply because RF signals tend to prefer to travel around metal objects , instead of through them.
Having door slightly open for hosing or fixing the receiver unit near the window should not be a problem for most , as the unit, once fitted will not need to be touched again as signal is coming from controller.
